Tune into the Food Network on May 13, as Kara Sigle ’03 (marketing) puts her cooking skills to the test and competes for her own Food Network show on Food Network Star.

The show will pit Sigle against 14 other seasoned chefs. However this season Food Network personalities Alton Brown, Bobby Flay, and Giada De Laurentiis will each serve as a team coach for five competitors. Sigle will be a part of the Bobby Flay team.

A marketing major, Sigle was cocaptain of the Redline Express Dance Team at Illinois State. Since graduating she has been a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush and attended the Kendall College School of Culinary Arts. Sigle owns and operates Nostalgic Catering, and also works as an instructor for The Total Body Boot Camp in Chicago.
