It is with great pleasure that we announce Stephen Vandiver ’86 as the director of marketing for the College of Business. He assumed his duties on July 1, 2012. Vandiver was the director of marketing for Richland Community College in Decatur. He received a B.S. in marketing from Illinois State University.
In his recent role with Richland Community College, he developed and managed the rebranding of the college and the related print and Web materials. Social networking strategies were also implemented along with the new integrated appearance and style of the college image. He worked directly with designers, photographers, videographers, and copywriters to help create coordinated messages for the many constituent groups related to the college. He has experience in organizing events that include dinners, tournaments, and seminars. In addition, Vandiver formerly served as a senior lending officer at the Flanagan State Bank in Leroy, and served as the executive director for the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce in Clinton. He has been active in the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, the Central Illinois Tourism Department, Rotary International, the Illinois Bankers Association, and Illinois Special Olympics.
Vandiver mentioned that “I have been so proud to watch ISU grow and build upon its quality reputation. I’ll take great pride in helping to build the brand integrity for the College of Business.”
