Employers are eager to meet and recruit Illinois State talent and are pleased to come to campus to connect with students as potential candidates.

Many employers host “Meet the Firm” presentations to allow students to learn more about their career opportunities. During these informational sessions students meet company representatives, learn about their companies, and can ask questions to their representatives better for future employment consideration and professional networking.

In addition, employers frequently visit the Career Center to conduct on-campus interviews to meet students for their open positions. Recruiters hold on-campus interviews as a result of having met quality student candidates at career fairs hosted by the Career Center or from students applying for positions posted in eRecruiting.

Students can view a list of upcoming Meet the Firm presentations and on-campus interviews on the Career Center job posting system eRecruiting, which can be accessed from the Career Center website. Students simply log onto eRecruiting and then click the Calendar link on the top of the page.

Students are encouraged to participate in a mock interview prior to scheduling an on-campus interview to help ensure they are well-prepared. Students can contact their career advisor to make an appointment or stop by the Career Center during walk-in hours. For more information, contact the Career Center.
