Redbird fans will be able to watch all Illinois State baseball and softball games at home this season without having to worry about paying to get in the stadium.
Admission to all Illinois State baseball and softball games this season will be free, and fans can get their first look at the 2013 Redbirds when both teams open their home campaigns in March.
The ISU baseball team opens the season Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m. against Bowling Green at Duffy Bass Field. That game will be the first of four on the weekend, with a Saturday doubleheader scheduled to begin at noon and Sunday’s series finale set for 1 p.m.
Illinois State’s softball team will open its home portion of the schedule that same weekend, when it welcomes in Missouri Valley Conference foe Bradley to Marian Kneer Stadium for a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon. The series will wrap up with a noon game Sunday against the Braves.
