Illinois State production of Mother Courage receives national honors

The cast and crew of Mother Courage and Her Children

The Illinois State University production of Mother Courage and Her Children was selected to perform at the regional Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in January 2013. Out of those eight regional festivals, all productions were seen by the national selection team, which has now noted certain productions for special national recognition. That recognition includes

• OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION OF A MODERN CLASSIC: Mother Courage and Her Children, Illinois State University
• DISTINGUISHED DIRECTOR OF A PLAY: Sandra Zielinski, Mother Courage, Illinois State University
• OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS: Abby Vombrack, Anna Fierling, Mother Courage, Illinois State University
• DISTINGUISHED COSTUME DESIGN: Brittany Powers, Mother Courage, Illinois State University
• OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN COMPOSITION: Zack Powell, Mother Courage, Illinois State University
