The College of Business at Illinois State University has been ranked 99th nationally on the 2013 Business Week Best Undergraduate Business Schools list.
This marks the fourth year in a row that the College of Business has been ranked by Business Week magazine. Illinois State is one of only two public business schools in Illinois in the top 100 this year.
Business Week magazine surveys both students and employers to arrive at the rankings. Overall academic quality of undergraduate programs is assessed along with the percentage of students who go on to pursue an MBA. In the ranking for 2013, 45 of the top 100 business schools were public universities while 55 were private universities.
“This recognition of excellence by Business Week magazine is a tribute both to our outstanding students and to our dedicated faculty,” said Scott Johnson, dean of the College of Business. “We pursue national distinction in all our programs and recognition by a respected third party validates what we know to be true, namely, that the College of Business at Illinois State University truly is a top business school.”
