Join your fellow Illinois State students and volunteer 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday, September 28, at Bring It Back to Normal.
Bring It Back to Normal is a volunteer program that attracts more than 200 Illinois State students who participate in service projects to help make a difference in the community.
The event consists of volunteers dedicating service projects, such as gardening, painting, washing windows, and showing appreciation to the Normal community for its support of Illinois State University. This day of service reaffirms the partnership between the University and the town of Normal in a positive atmosphere.
“There is a mutual respect built between homeowners and students, by the willingness of students to help others without compensation or obligation,” said Judy Scott, from the Fell Park Neighborhood Association. “It is good that both entities can benefit from each other in several areas.” Her favorite part about the event is the opportunity to enjoy the students interacting with each other as they complete the requested tasks.
This is a great opportunity to get connected with the community and other students! For more information, call Leadership and Service at (309) 439-7346.
