Walk around The Fresh Market and sample foods and wines at the Friends of the Arts event from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, October 10, at The Fresh Market, 200 Greenbriar Drive in Normal.
The store will be closed to everyone but ticket holders and will include a prime rib carving station, 40 varieties of wine from all over the world, and many gourmet selections.
The evening will benefit Friends of the Arts at Illinois State University, which provides grants to support College of Fine Arts artistic projects, events, visiting artists, and student travel. The organization helps provide scholarships for generations of artists.
Tickets are $25 and are available through the Illinois State University Box Office at (309) 438-5444, or Ticketmaster. Tickets will not be sold at the door. All ages are welcome. Participants can shop while sampling. A 10 percent discount will be given on bottles of wine and a 15 percent discount on a case.
