This fall Illinois State University welcomed President Timothy J. Flanagan to campus. His wife, Nancy Flanagan, holds a Ph.D. in nursing and has an accomplished career as a nurse leader, author, clinician, and academic.
Nancy Flanagan was invited to be a guest speaker for a colloquium event held September 27 at the Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN). She presented “Establishing a Program of Research, or … What Do I Do Now That the Dissertation Is Defended?” to a packed classroom of graduate students and faculty in Schroeder Hall.
The Mennonite College of Nursing and the Mennonite Nursing Alumni Organization hosted a reception September 30 in honor of Nancy Flanagan and introduced her to the MCN and Bloomington-Normal health care community. More than 50 guests attended the reception at the Nursing Simulation Lab.
“I am thrilled to welcome President Timothy and Dr. Nancy Flanagan to Illinois State University,” MCN Dean Janet Krejci said. “We are fortunate indeed not only to have their leadership, but to add another doctorally prepared nurse to the Illinois State University family.”
