Congratulations to Business Information Systems (BIS) Club faculty advisor Matt Nelson and the BIS Club! The BIS Club’s Association for Information Systems (AIS) affiliate has received international recognition for the chapter’s efforts in the areas of careers in IS, community service, and communications.
The chapter was officially recognized during the 2013 International Conference on Information Systems that was held December 15–18 in Milan, Italy.
AIS student chapters, founded in late 2008, remain dedicated to creating an environment that fosters the success of undergraduate and graduate IS students and that encourages networking between students, faculty, and practitioners within the field. Through the growth of the student chapter community, the program is also designed to attract students to the discipline overall. Since the inception of the initiative, more than 3,000 students worldwide have affiliated with AIS student chapters.
The Association for Information Systems (AIS), founded in 1994, and hosted by Georgia State University, is a professional organization whose purpose is to serve as the premier global organization for academics specializing in Information Systems.
