Redbird fans will be able to watch all Illinois State baseball and softball games at home this season without having to worry about paying to get in the stadium.
Admission to all Illinois State baseball and softball games this season will be free, and fans can get their first look at the 2014 Redbirds when both open their home campaigns in March.
Both teams open their home slates the weekend of March 14-16. The Redbird baseball team (the 2013 MVC regular season champions) opens with a three-game series against in-state foe Western Illinois at Duffy Bass Field.
Just across the parking lot, the Redbird softball team will host MVC rival Drake in its home and conference opener with a doubleheader Saturday, March 15, followed by a single game on Sunday.
Both teams have begun their seasons, and fans can follow all of the action throughout the season on GoRedbirds.com, with game recaps, live audio broadcasts, and live statistics for each game.
