The Illinois State University Society for Human Resource Management (ISU-SHRM) competed in the 2014 Illinois State Human Resource Games and Case Competition hosted February 22–23 by Northern Illinois University.
The Human Resource Games feature a Jeopardy-style quiz in which students compete against other undergraduates from Illinois universities. Students are also provided a human resource case and a short time to prepare a presentation to a panel of executive level human resource professionals. ISU-SHRM won the Human Resource Games and placed third in the Case Competition.
ISU-SHRM team members are Matt Braski, Stacey Larson, Matt Pajor, Allison Sahm, and Katy Sotiroff. The team is coached by Professors Nathan Hartman and Joseph Goodman of the Management and Quantitative Methods Department. The team will next travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the 2014 North Central Regional Society for Human Resource Management Case Competition and Conference.
