Photography major Thelma Uranga was one of several artists who worked on a new quilted map of Chicago with the names of each of the city’s homicide victims from last year.
The School of Art student’s Untitled (Homicide Quilt) project was shown at Beauty and Brawn Art Gallery and featured in the Chicago Tribune. The names on the quilt are stitched into the neighborhood where that person’s life ended.
