Department chairs and school directors can now nominate eligible faculty members to join the fall 2014 cohort of DART Online.
DART (Design, Align, Refine, and Teach) Online is an intensive, semester-long workshop for faculty interested in designing and teaching high quality online courses. Faculty members who are accepted into the cohort and implement the program are eligible to receive $1,500 stipends, provided by the Office of the Provost.
Each DART Online cohort is limited to 30 faculty members. It is taught in a blended format, with about 75 percent of the workshop taking place online and the remainder in face-to-face settings. Successful participants will devote four to five hours per week to course work. The complete schedule is available for download in Adobe PDF format.
In addition to being nominated by their department chair or director, participants must be assigned to an online course that is “on the books” to be taught in the spring or summer of 2015.
If you are interested, ask your chair or director to nominate you by noon Monday, July 21, 2014.
