Welcome Week not only introduces students to their new campus home, but also gets them connected to the community.
The Welcome Week Community Service Project for pre-registered students will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16.
“This is a chance to show students they are part of our community, that this is their home as well,” said Annie Weaver of Leadership and Service, who coordinates the project. “It also gives them the chance to see what volunteer opportunities are out there.”
Faculty and staff who are interested in participating can contact Weaver at 438-8259. Spots are given to new students first, noted Weaver, but faculty and staff can join if space is available.
