Metcalf School students returning from summer vacation will be able to enjoy a new outdoor classroom gifted by a past Metcalf graduate. Ryan Scritchlow and family donated the beautiful outdoor classroom.
Teachers have already taken turns using this natural learning space, complete with a beautiful teacher’s table made of stone as well as a usable whiteboard. The students sit on small boulders.
The Metcalf PTO donated one engraved brick for each 2013–2014 staff member. The floor of the outdoor space is composed of the engraved bricks.
