Metcalf School students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to participate in Spirit Week on Monday, September 22, through Friday, September 26.
Metcalf’s Student Council is trying something a little bit different this year. The lower primary grades (pre-K–second) and the upper grades (third–eighth) will have separate Spirit Days to better accommodate the learning needs of the students. As a result, please understand that older and younger siblings may have separate themed days. This may be a bit confusing, but it will be best for all involved to have separate days so that all students can fully enjoy participating in Spirit Week.
The schedules for Spirit Week are as follows:
Pre-K–second grade
Monday: Pennant Day
Tuesday: Sports Day
Wednesday: Funny Sock Day
Thursday: Color Day (Pre-K: Red, kindergarten: Yellow, first: Blue, second: Green)
Friday: Metcalf/U-High/ISU Spirit Day
Third–eighth grade
Monday: Crazy Day
Tuesday: Pajama Day
Wednesday: Character Day
Thursday: Throwback Thursday
Friday: Metcalf/Universtiy High School/Illinois State University Spirit Day
