Dreamweaver CS6: Level 2
Monday, September 22 • 1–4 p.m.

Learn how to manage your Web pages and control the content with templates and style sheets. This workshop is designed for those familiar with the basics in Dreamweaver and have taken the Dreamweaver CS6: Level 1.

SharePoint for Committees
Monday, September 22 • 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Are you doing a job search? Are you part of a DFSC (Department Faculty Status Committee), Program Review, or other committee? Learn how to use this online tool to share documents, calendars, task lists, and more. This workshop is open to faculty, administrators, and staff only.

Teaching Excellence Series: Deliver Course Content Outside of Class
Tuesday, September 23 • 1–2:30 p.m.

In this series, Classroom Learning Experiences for Maximum Impact, we focus on how to invite students into the process of learning.

In a flipped classroom, students gather information outside of classroom through video, online readings, or other electronic sources. This allows class time to be used for applying that information through exercises and activities. This session will show you how to use online resources and ReggieNet to provide students with a variety of resources. No registration is necessary.

ReggieNet: Lesson Builder
Tuesday, September 23 • 1–4 p.m.

Discover how to easily create online instructional modules using Lesson Builder. This powerful tool allows you to integrate resources from across your ReggieNet site (tests and quizzes, assignments, discussion and discussion forums) into online lessons. Design lessons that require students to complete goals before they can proceed to the next stage. You will also learn how to integrate multimedia content. This course will also briefly discuss organizing content in other ReggieNet features, such as the Resources and Materials and Web Content tools. Prerequisite: Introduction to ReggieNet

Early Career Faculty Development Circle
Wednesday, September 24 • noon–1 p.m.

This development circle offers a combination of professional development and peer support to faculty members in their first three years of service at Illinois State. Topics for the fall 2014 semester are drawn from the book How Learning Works: 7 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching, by Susan A. Ambrose et al. Participants will receive a copy of the book and an executive summary of each chapter.

SPIN Training
Wednesday, September 24 • 2–3 p.m.

This workshop will allow participants to access and utilize the Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN), a searchable database which provides up-to-date information on current national and international government and private funding opportunities. Users can then receive regular email notifications linked to search keywords. All of the data in SPIN is obtained directly from the sponsoring agencies to ensure the integrity of the information.

Get an overview on this presentation software’s basic tools and functions. You will learn to work with text, images, slide layouts, backgrounds, slide transitions, and more. This class is suitable for those who are entirely new to PowerPoint or for those who would like a refresher.

Learn how to use the Stories.IllinoisState.edu content management system, powered by WordPress, to add news articles and tag them to feed to multiple locations (including your website), to insert images and photo galleries, and more. This workshop is open to faculty and staff only.
