Campus Recreation is offering a new way to get fit without missing your favorite shows in the group fitness Cycle Primetime classes. Classes are set up similarly to other cycle classes, but follow the same schedules as popular television shows such as Dancing With the Stars, The Voice, Modern Family, Black-ish, and Scandal.
Participants will cycle steadily throughout the episodes, with more intense instruction during commercial breaks to raise your heart rate and strengthen your lower body. All classes will be held in the Student Fitness Center cycle studio (Room 203).
“Sometimes it’s hard to get motivated to go work out when you’d rather curl up on the couch and watch TV,” said Leah Sanders, graduate assistant-fitness. “This class offers the best of both worlds, providing a great workout without missing a minute of your favorite show.”
Classes for the fall semester are listed below. Alternative shows will be shown during reruns or breaks of programs currently on the schedule.
Mondays, 7–8 p.m., Dancing With the Stars
Tuesdays, 7–8 p.m., The Voice
Wednesdays, 8–9 p.m., Modern Family/Black-ish
Thursdays, 8–9 p.m., Scandal
