The Career Center, in conjunction with the Department of Technology, is hosting the Construction Management Fair on Thursday, February 12, 2015, from 1–4 p.m.
Employers from the fields of construction management, safety, and renewable energy will meet with Illinois State students and alumni to discuss job opportunities.
Fair preparation
Students who have not previously attended a fair can do the following to prepare:
• Attend Resume Critique and Mock Interview Days held on February 9 and March 18.
• Read tips on how to prepare for the fair, how to develop a 30-second pitch about yourself, and answer interview questions using the Career Resource Guide.
• Watch the Career Center’s career fair video.
• Practice interviewing using InterviewStream, the online tool that allows you to customize questions to your position or industry and practice using your own computer.
Visit the Construction Management Fair online to view a list of the registered employers so far and the positions they are seeking to fill, and to get tips on how to put your best foot forward at the fair.
Alumni employers in the construction management, safety, or renewable energy fields seeking to hire a Redbird are invited to register to meet candidates, and to also attend a pre-fair lunch with faculty and student leaders from respective academic student organizations.
