Tickets for the 31st annual Black Heritage Ball are available.

The ball, sponsored by the Black Student Union, is set for 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. With an aim of celebrating African Americans finding and embracing their identity, this year’s theme will be Phantom of the Ebony Opera: Embracing the Unknown.

The night will feature the talents of Illinois State community members who will present art, poetry, spoken word and acting. The ball will highlight the history of African Americans through “edutainment.” Formal attire is required.

Tickets are $9, and will be sold at the door. For tickets or for additional information, contact blackstudentunion@IllinoisState.edu.
