Illinois State University students and alumni are invited to the Career Center’s Education Career Fair on Thursday, March 5, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center.
The Education Career Fair connects school administrators, superintendents, and other employers from the field of education seeking to hire candidates in education and related fields for full-time positions.
“The Education Career Fair provides an invaluable opportunity to network with school district representatives, showcase their experiences and skillsets, and explore opportunities they may not have initially considered. All students majoring in education and related fields from freshmen to seniors will greatly benefit from attending the Education Career Fair,” said Career Center Career Advisor Renee Carrigan.
Fair preparation
To help students prepare, they are invited to attend Hiring Tips for Education Majors on March 4 to hear first-hand from a school administrator on what sets applicants apart when looking at resumes.
Students attending the fair need to bring their Redbird ID card and plenty of copies of their resume, and they are encouraged to dress for an interview. Student can also order free business cards to distribute to employers from the Career Center.
