Students and alumni from Illinois State’s Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development who recently served with the Peace Corps will address the themes of leadership, social responsibility and global engagement at noon Wednesday, March 25, in the Prairie Room of the Bone Student Center.
The panel discussion is part of the International Studies Seminar Series, sponsored by the Office of International Studies and Programs. The event is free and open to the public and a buffet lunch will be served.
The speakers will include Ashley Conrad, Peace Corps Master’s International student in sociology and youth development facilitator in the Philippines (2012-2014); Jared Dellinger, Peace Corps Fellows alumnus in applied economics and agriculture enterprise advisor in Vanuatu (2007-2009); and Lauren Karplus, Peace Corps Master’s International alumna in political science and HIV/AIDS community health educator in Swaziland (2012-2014).
The presentation is also part of a series of events marking the Stevenson Center’s 20th anniversary.
