Interested in pursuing a career in science after graduation? Come join us during a FREE seminar series open to the public on Friday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in Williams Hall.
We will discuss topics such as negotiating pay, interviewing techniques, and career opportunities outside of academia (9–11 a.m., 128 Williams Hall), and hold a panel discussion around family/work life balance (11:30–1 p.m., 314 Williams Hall). The morning session and panel discussion will feature professionals from Illinois State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and The Nature Conservancy.
Our seminar will culminate in a keynote webinar address by Professor Shelley Adamo, from Dalhousie University. She will discuss the attrition of women in science (1:30–2:30 p.m., 128 Williams Hall).
