Going away to college is a big change and transition for students, as well as parents and family members. Family members play a vital role in the success of their student at Illinois State University.
In addition to the services provided to students, the Dean of Students Office also offers support for family members through Parent and Family Services. Parent and Family Services provides family members with support to keep them informed and connected with ISU. Staff offers resources and suggestions to help assist family members with the changes experienced by both the student and their family.
Parent and Family Services provides helpful resources such as the Illinois State University Parent and Family Guide, a publication including important telephone numbers as well as descriptions of campus programs and services. Another great source of information is the Parents ENews, a newsletter that is emailed to parents on a consistent basis. Also, for parents interested in communicating with other parents about any topic, join the Facebook group Illinois State Parents & Families.
For questions or concerns about your student’s time at Illinois State, contact Parent and Family Services at (309) 438-2008.
