Two College of Business International Business Case Teams competed April 17–18 in the 2015 University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) International Business Case Competition.
Illinois State’s team of Khamille DeLara, Jacquie Treichler, Mike DeGradi, and Steven Shipp advanced to the final round and finished in second place, missing first place by only two points. This is the second year the one of our teams got second place in this competition. The other Illinois State team, composed of Mike Trujillo, Po Jen Liu, Kyle Korinek, and Nate Vilhard, did a great job but did not qualify for the final round of four teams.
There were 12 teams in the competition competing in this year’s examination of the Brown Shoe Co. The teams were judged by panels of professionals on the quality of their analyses, their recommendations, presentation skills, and performance during the question-and-answer period.
International Business Institute Director Barb Ribbens and Business Professor Somnath Lahiri were the faculty sponsors and chose the Illinois State teams from those who applied.
