Illinois State University will have a pep rally Friday, September 11, in preparation for the first home football game of the season the following day.
Tony Roma’s and The Chateau will host the event, which will last from 4–10 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public. Fans can enjoy live music, free food, and a cash bar. Fans will also get the chance to meet Redbird coaches and Reggie Redbird from 5–7 p.m.
WJBC will broadcast live from the event. Donations to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund (WSF) will be accepted at the door.
The Redbird football team will kick off at home for the first time this season at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, against Morgan State. Fans will be treated to a fireworks show immediately following the game.
