Fall 2015 is full of activities in the School of Information Technology, including many opportunities for alumni and friends to interact with students and others.

A great opportunity for getting involved and making a difference in students’ lives is our mentorship program, and there is still a little time to sign up. Kick-off sessions will be September 10 and 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. in Stevenson Hall 401. Contact Tal Parmenter for more information, or sign up here.

Tuesday, September 15, will be our annual IT Internship Fair from 5:30-8:30p.m. in the Brown Ballroom. Employers will be there looking for students majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network & Telecommunications Management, and Business Information Systems. This will be preceded by a panel discussion with representatives from some of the companies who will be at the fair. To see whether your company is participating or get signed up, contact Tal.

The Scholarship Award Ceremony will be Friday, September 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. in room 116 of the Alumni Center. Donors, scholarship awardees, and their families will enjoy refreshments as we honor the recipients and thank those who make these scholarships possible.

If you’re in town for Homecoming, don’t miss our newest event: Come Home to IT on Friday, October 23. Alumni are invited to an Open House and LAN party in Old Union from 5:00-9:00 PM. Dinner will be served from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on the Quad in front of Old Union. We’d love to see you all there. Watch for more information soon.
