Showcase your teaching, research, and service using your own, customized University webpages. About.IllinoisState is a browser-based way to create web pages. No additional software is required. This workshop is open to faculty and staff only. Registration is required.
Introduction to ReggieNet Part 2
Tuesday, September 1 • 1–4 p.m.
Learn to create a variety of learning activities using built-in tools such as Discussions, Tests and Quizzes, Assignments. Discussion forums can promote student interaction with each other and course material. The Assignment tool permits online submission and grading of student work. Finally, you will learn to use Tests and Quizzes for various types of testing. Prerequisite: Introduction to ReggieNet – Part 1. Registration is required.
Excel: Level 1
Wednesday, September 2 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
An introduction to Microsoft Excel. Topics include basic features such as spreadsheet arrangement (rows, columns, and cells), entering, editing, and formatting data. Also learn about formulas and graph creation. Registration is required.
Clickers: Anywhere Presentations
Thursday, September 3 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This workshop introduces Anywhere Polling, standalone software that allows you to use classroom clickers in combination with websites and other media without having to build PowerPoint slides. Anywhere Polling works on both PC and Mac. This workshop is open to instructors, administrators, and staff only. Registration is required.
Prezi
Thursday, September 3 • 2–4 p.m.
Explore the fundamentals of this web-based alternative to PowerPoint. Prezi allows users to create stunning, animated presentations. Learn how to use Prezi’s powerful tools to lead your audience visually, step-by-step, through a narrative. This workshop is designed for both instructors who wish to use Prezi in the classroom and staff members who want to use Prezi for meetings and business presentations. Registration is required.
