The Dean of Students Office is excited to announce a variety of events on Halloween for all students.
Free tickets will be available for nontraditional students and one guest to the Redbird football game vs. Indiana State at noon. A pizza lunch will also be provided before the game at 10:30 a.m. in the Student Services Building, Room 375. Nontraditional students are encouraged to bring their families.
Prizes will be given for a Halloween costume contest and Reggie’s Fun Zone will be open for all children in Horton Field House between lunch and the game. Please email questions, RSVPs, and any dietary restrictions to vpsaamwhitm@exchange.ilstu.edu.
Later that evening, Trick or Treat for Change will be held from 5-8 p.m. Volunteers can dress in costume and “trick-or-treat” for monetary donations from residents in the Bloomington-Normal community. All the proceeds from the event go to the Illinois State University/Illinois Wesleyan University Chapter of Habitat for Humanity to help local families build their own homes. To date, more than $60,000 has been raised by students through this program. Check-in will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. To end the night, Up Late at State is bringing back The Haunting at State for its second year based on popularity at last year’s event. Don’t miss a haunted house, tarot card reader, costume contest, zombie face painting, giveaways and food from 8-11 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center.
