Looking for a job? Seeking to connect with other professionals? Want to showcase your expertise and skills? Then attend one of the Career Center’s annual “Are you LinkedIn?” workshops beginning on October 13, from 3-4 p.m., in the Student Services Building room 110P. There will be two more sessions on October 21 from 3-4 p.m. and November 13 from 1-2 p.m., in 110P Student Services Building.
Because LinkedIn is continuing to increase in popularity for professional networking, the sessions help students make the most of using LinkedIn, and show how to build professional contacts and career connections.
Information will also be provided on how to manage one’s social media presence during the job search process. Students will learn how to improve their profile or create one for the first time, as well as how to maximize their professional networking potential using the latest LinkedIn tools and functions.
Participants are required to set up their own LinkedIn accounts prior to attending. Students are encouraged to bring laptops, iPads, or other electronic device to access LinkedIn accounts.
