The Missouri Valley Conference and ESPN announced a 10-year extension to their current media rights agreement that will provide increased coverage of conference events across the ESPN platforms through the 2023–24 academic year.
For the 2015–16 season, Illinois State will broadcast all home games for football, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball on ESPN3. All road Valley games for these sports will also be broadcasted on ESPN3. Starting in the 2015-16 season, baseball, softball and soccer will be added to the ESPN3 broadcasts.
Illinois State’s production staff will work jointly with ESPN to provide significant national coverage for multiple sports on ESPN3. This relationship will also provide Illinois State undergraduate students with hands-on educational opportunities.
ESPN3 broadcasts can be streamed through any device (computer, tablet, smart phone, etc.) with an Internet connection. As long as the games are not being broadcast on television, you will not need a subscription to a cable provider to view those games.
