International author and speaker Zohra Sarwari will present “No, I Am Not A Terrorist” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in Stevenson Hall, room 101.
As an orthodox Muslim, Sarwari faces challenges daily, yet maintains her passion to educate others about diversity, using humor and personal experiences.
Sponsored by Diversity Advocacy, the event is free and open to the University community.
During her talk, Sarwari will promote positive dialogue and help foster tolerance toward people of all races, religions, and backgrounds. Her blend of humor, enthusiasm, and passion—combined with inspirational stories—inspires attendees to understand terrorism, Islam, and Muslims in today’s society.
The author of books such as A Chance To Live and 9 Steps to Achieve Your Destiny, Sarwari will be available immediately following the presentation for a book signing.
