The Illinois State University Planetarium will present Undiscovered Worlds: The Search Beyond Our Sun at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 5. This is a single weekend event and will not be offered again.
Humans have long imagined exotic and intriguing worlds beyond our solar system. However, in recent years, science fiction has become science fact. In Undiscovered Worlds: The Search Beyond Our Sun, viewers will experience the discoveries made by the most sophisticated telescopes, including the Kepler orbiting telescope.
After Undiscovered Worlds, Planetarium staff will present a tour of the current evening sky under the Planetarium dome, exploring the bright stars, constellations, and planets visible from Central Illinois.
