Trumpet soloist and composer David Hoffman will join Illinois State University’s Jazz Ensembles I and II on stage for a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 12, in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall.

Hoffman spent 13 years playing trumpet solos, composing, and arranging for the Ray Charles Orchestra. He will join student musicians performing some of his own compositions and arrangements, and will be featured on several selections from other composers.
