The Illinois State University School of Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 2017 M.F.A. Thesis Exhibition. The exhibition is on view April 4 through April 14. A public reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 8.
The 2017 M.F.A. Thesis Exhibition features the work of six students currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program. These artists are in their final semester of a three-year program, and this exhibition is a culmination of the research they have done while at Illinois State University. This is the first exhibition held in the Center for Visual Arts that has all of the graduating M.F.A. exhibitions displayed simultaneously. The exhibition includes mediums of painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, glass, sculpture, and ceramics.
Exhibiting artists include: George Barreca, Alexis Bragg, Megan Coonelly, Catherine J. Davis, Jeremy Lampe, and Micah Zavacky.
Gallery hours are:
Tuesdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wednesdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursdays noon-4 p.m.
Fridays 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Closed: Saturday through Monday
The exhibition is located in the Center for Visual Arts, room 110. Parking is available at University Street Parking Deck: 600 S. University St, Normal, IL.
