The Spanish Club of Illinois State University will host Día De Los Muertos at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, in Stevenson Hall, room 401. The event is free and all are welcome.
Día De Los Muertos, which means “Day of the Dead,” is a Mexican holiday that is observed in honor of the dead. On this day, family and friends come together to pray for their near and dear ones who have died.
The celebration is hosted by the University Spanish Club. This year the event will begin with an altar exhibition at 3 p.m. followed by a cultural presentation at 6 p.m.
