Adam Burke received the 2016-2017 Department of Technology Outstanding Teaching Award.
An assistant professor in the Graphic Communications Program, Burke is very devoted to working and mentoring student, and spearheaded the updating of curriculum in five different courses over the past two years. Burke is always willing to take on new teaching assignments as needed and has taught TEC 270 for several years.
For the past four years, Burke has been the faculty advisor for the Phoenix Challenge student teams. The Phoenix Challenge advising takes considerable time, with months of planning, industry coordination, and traveling. Burke is also the faculty advisor the IGEA-ISU Student Chapter. In fact, Burke has been responsible to developing the IGEA-ISU organization into one that operates much like a business, providing student members with valuable production and management experience.
