Haiyan (Sally) Xie received the 2016-17 Department of Technology Research Award.
Xie, Ph.D., published a book, seven journal articles, four peer-reviewed conference papers, submitted four papers for review, received two funded contracts from the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and Land Engineers, LLC, received a Teaching-Learning Innovation Grant from Illinois State University. She submitted two grant applications, one National Science Foundation grant application, and one Illinois Department of Transportation application. She has explored research in areas with broad content, including research outside her area of specialization and strives to keep herself up to date on current research in her field.
