The Organizational Leadership Institute (OLI) at Illinois State University’s College of Business is bringing back the well-received leadership certificate program.
The leadership certificate program is a rigorous five-session series that will provide opportunities to explore the roles of leaders in contemporary organizations and provide participants with significant opportunities to enhance and develop their own leadership skill set. Each session in the program will engage participants in learning and developmental activities related to leadership. Content in each session will be in-depth and will require participants to engage fully in order to benefit from the program.
“I participated in the inaugural leadership certificate program at Illinois State University to sharpen my skills as a strategic leader, thinker, and communicator,” Four Seasons Health Club President and CEO Jeff Leverton said. “This program was exceptional and had just the right mix of assessments, skill building, and reflection.”
All sessions in the program will be held in State Farm Hall of Business on the campus of Illinois State University. All sessions will be facilitated by full-time faculty of the College of Business. Each session will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Sessions 1–4 will include a continental breakfast (beginning at 7:30 a.m.) and lunch. Session 5 concludes with a panel discussion and a recognition luncheon.
Registration is open to anyone with an interest in understanding leadership more fully and developing their leadership skills. However, participants with at least three–five years of managerial/supervisory experience will likely benefit most from this program. The ideal candidate would be in early middle-management roles with a focus on developing more advanced leadership competencies.
Registration fees for the program are $975. Fees for Illinois State Alumni and graduates of both Leadership McLean County and the Multicultural Leadership program are $850 ($125 discount). Registration fees cover all elements of the program, including meals, parking, and materials.
