Make a difference this June for #RedbirdImpact Month
Illinois State University’s Alumni Association understands that the core values of the University do not stop after graduation. To align with the value of civic engagement, the association’s Redbird Engagement and Development (RED) Committee and the University’s Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning are encouraging Redbirds to come together to show what it means to make a #RedbirdImpact this June with #RedbirdImpact Alumni Weekend, June 21–23.
#RedbirdImpact Alumni Weekend invites all alumni and friends to travel to campus for a weekend of service, engagement, and connecting. The weekend will start with a welcome dinner Friday night compliments of the Alumni Association and RED Committee. Then Redbirds can be ready to serve! Alumni will work with the Habitat for Humanity’s Restore Saturday morning, the Habitat for Humanity’s Brush with Kindness program Saturday afternoon, and the Illinois State Horticulture Center Sunday morning. A social will also be held at the Pub II on Saturday, complete with complimentary cheeseballs.
The Division of Student Affairs will also host a free, exclusive cook out on Saturday night at Redbird Plaza for Alternative Break alumni to connect and hear about Alternative Breaks at Illinois State.
Exclusive #RedbirdImpact Alumni Weekend T-shirts, breakfasts, lunch, and on-campus housing accommodations are available at additional costs. Registration is available through 4:30 p.m. on June 19 online or by contacting Alumni Engagement at (309) 438-2586.
How else to make a #RedbirdImpact
