“You can’t be more proud of this group and what they’ve accomplished in one calendar year. It’s amazing,” said head coach Steve Holm, who was MVC Dan Callahan Coach of the Year. Right fielder Joe Aeilts was MVC Joe Carter Player of the Year, with Brent Headrick the conference Pitcher of the Year.
Headrick, a junior from Joliet studying business administration, was chosen in the Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins. Center fielder John Rave was also drafted as a junior, and is joining the Kansas City Royals. The Bloomington native majored in international business.
