Joan Crooks
The Department of English will hold a memorial service for Joan Crooks from 4–6 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, in room 401A in Stevenson Hall. Joan earned an M.S. in writing at Illinois State in 1988 and served as instructional assistant professor in the Department of English for 22 years. Joan was an accomplished poet and teacher, and she was recognized by ISU students with an Impact Award in 2017. Welcoming words and sharing of memories will begin at 4:30 p.m. All members of the campus and Bloomington-Normal communities are welcome to attend and remember this talented colleague.
