Let’s face it, campus technology can be intimidating as a new student. Illinois State University offers a variety of technology tools to help you thrive, but we know it can be overwhelming to navigate. The last thing you need is confusion on how to access the systems and information you need to be successful. We have help!
A new course in ReggieNet, “Introduction to Technology at Illinois State,” is now available to guide you through the ins and outs of Illinois State’s technology. The course covers everything from how to register for or drop a class to Microsoft’s Office 365 services you can download for free. The course is divided into easy to navigate sections to help familiarize yourself with campus technology.
Don’t worry, you won’t be graded on it, but there is a quiz upon completion of each unit to test the knowledge you have gained. You’ll become an Illinois State technology wiz in no time!
To begin, check out the Student Technology QuickStart Guide. You will find articles on various technologies as well as how to get to and sign in to ReggieNet. Once new students are in ReggieNet, the “Introduction to Technology at Illinois State” course will be linked near the Home button or in the Sites icon. If you are a returning student and would like to be added, please call 438-HELP or email supportcenter@IllinoisState.edu, and staff will add you to the course. You may also want to subscribe to the ISU YouTube Channel for QuickStart videos.
The support doesn’t end when you finish the course. Throughout the semester the Technology Support Center is ready to answer questions and solve technology problems. The center can be reached at GET-HELP (309-438-4357), supportcenter@IllinoisState.edu, and at ITHelp.IllinoisState.edu.
