The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) has named Yao Shi, M.S. ’18, the 2019 CAST Outstanding Graduate Student Researcher–Thesis Category.
Shi’s thesis is titled “Big Data and Sensor Network for Construction Material Testing.” Technology Professor Haiyan Xie was Shi’s thesis chair. His thesis has been forwarded as the CAST entry in the Universitywide James L. Fisher Thesis Competition.
Shi graduated with a master’s degree in project management. He will be recognized at the University Research Awards Ceremony later this academic year.
