Illinois State University wishes all students and employees a safe and healthy Labor Day weekend. The University is announcing changes to testing for the weekend, and a change in operations at Milner Library.
Testing
Asymptomatic on-campus testing sites will be closed Friday, September 4, and Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. Student Health Services will be open for symptomatic testing on Friday, during their normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Students experiencing symptoms can call the Nurse Consult Line at (309) 438-7676. Student Health Services will be closed on Labor Day.
Testing is available at the Interstate Center testing site on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but not Monday.
As of Tuesday, September 8, the two on-campus asymptomatic testing sites will reopen in the Brown Ballroom in the Bone Student Center and the former fire station at 602 N. Adelaide St., from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Milner Library
Milner Library’s physical building will be closed to walk-in patrons beginning Tuesday, September 8 and transition to access by appointment and/or virtual services. Curbside pickup and on campus delivery via campus mail will continue. Additional information is available on the library’s COVID-19 response page.
ISU students, faculty, and staff can request access to the library’s physical building through their subject librarian. Milner Library’s Special Collections and the Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield University Archives are also closed to walk in patrons, but appointments can be made to access these collections and/or for virtual research assistance.
Virtual research help via our Virtual Reference Desk remains available seven days a week. Connect with Milner librarians by chat when the library’s homepage Chat with Us button is green, texting (309) 807-9442, via email, and/or by contacting a subject librarian to schedule a research consult via Zoom or email. Please note that the library will have altered hours September 5-7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
