The following individuals are members Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association communications team:
Richard Greenfield, Committee Chair, is a 2017 Political Science graduate who works as a policy analyst for the State of Illinois.
“I joined the Communications Committee because I want to continue help making a difference from the alma mater that I love,’’ Greenfield said.
Caryn Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications/broadcasting with a minor in sociology in 1994. While she started her career in her chosen field of radio in 1999, she ventured over into the record business, where she still is today, currently serving as the Southwest Director of Promotions for Interscope Records. She chose to serve on the communications committee for the Black Colleagues Association because she felt that it was a good way to keep up with her fellow Redbirds while also being of service to both them as well as the degree she earned at ISU.
Zion Banks is a 1985 mass communications graduate who aspires to tell our stories—a piece of wisdom from author Virginia Hamilton.
“My four years at Illinois State shaped and changed my life,” Banks said. “It’s an honor to celebrate my fellow Redbirds in this way.”
