Open forums held during the fall semester provided campus input about the addition of engineering programs. A steering committee began investigating in 2017 the feasibility of offering the degrees. Members have worked with consultants in reviewing feasibility studies, assessing campus facilities, and considering synergies between existing programs and the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering.
