Have you ever wondered what it would be like to implement library services and programming in a country in the Global South? Or, perhaps you’ve dreamed of starting your own nonprofit organization dedicated to building libraries around the world. Are you looking for a way to combining your interests in international travel and volunteering?
If any of the above sparks interest, join Milner Library on Tuesday, March 30 for a special talk by Debbie Chavez and Dee Winn of Libraries for the World. This virtual talk will be available on Zoom, and no prior registration is required. Chavez is president of Libraries for the World and a school librarian in Round Rock, Texas. Winn is secretary of Libraries for the World and MLIS program manager at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies.
