Illinois State University Bands is pleased to announce that Alumni Band Day will take place Saturday, November 6.
A long-standing Big Red Marching Machine (BRMM) tradition, Alumni Band Day will be a little different this year. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, recent graduates were unable to have their final season of marching band. In an effort to provide the most recent alumni with the opportunity to perform again on the field, this year all members of the Alumni Band will have the opportunity to perform side-by-side with the current members of the marching band during halftime.
The first half of the show will be the Veterans Day Salute performed by the current BRMM members. The Alumni Band will then enter straight down the middle of the field with the current band on both sides. The full Illinois State University marching and alumni bands will perform Battle Hymn of the Republic and in closing will march off the field together playing the Fight Song.
Rehearsal will begin at 7:30 a.m. with kickoff against Northern Iowa at noon.
Please register by Tuesday, November 2.
